Maxillo Winnipeg is equipped with a cone beam computer tomography (CBCT) machine that has the ability to not only capture regular x-rays but can reconstruct your jaws in three dimensions. These scans are utilized in dental implant cases, when facial trauma has occurred and in orthognathic jaw surgery.

They provide a wealth of information related to the jaw bones as well as identifies the location of nerves and blood vessels that should be avoided in the surgical area. During their residency programs, our doctors were trained in reading and diagnosing CBCTs and hospital CT scans.
